Principal Message
It is my great pleasure as principal of this wonderful school to welcome you to our brand new website! I hope looking around gives you a feel for life here in Reenascreena.
We are a 3 teacher rural community in the parish of Rosscarbery. We are so proud of our links to our local community and love to participate in local events. Many of our pupils are siblings, cousins and neighbours but above all are friends to one another. In our school children mix freely and play together based on shared interests – they work together, learn together and have fun together! We first and foremost recognise that children cannot learn in an environment unless they feel safe and happy and this is always to the forefront of what we do.
As educators, we prioritise the holistic development of each and every child. We know that every one of our pupils is unique and aim to help each of them reach their full potential in the course of the time they spend with us. We aim to instil a love of learning and a thirst for knowledge from the very start of their educational journey.
We understand that the world we live in is constantly changing and evolving and endeavour to use the most up to date approaches, programmes and methodologies to connect with our pupils’ interests and individual learning styles.
